Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on pitching and outreach to top-tier national business and corporate media
  • Leverage existing relationships with reporters, editors and producers to open doors and create meaningful opportunities for clients
  • Develop and pitch thought leadership opportunities that position executives as credible voices on relevant business, industry and cultural conversations
  • Identify compelling story angles across client businesses, executives, data, industry trends and the broader news cycle
  • Translate complex corporate narratives into stories journalists will actually care about
  • Support corporate communications efforts across sustainability, DEI, investor relations, corporate announcements, executive communications and reputation management
  • Develop media strategies that build visibility and strengthen corporate and executive reputation
  • Identify proactive opportunities beyond major announcements to keep clients part of the broader business conversation
  • Advise clients and internal teams on what is newsworthy and what it will take to earn meaningful coverage
  • Develop pitches, messaging, executive positioning, media materials and briefing documents as needed

Requirements

  • Significant experience in corporate communications and top-tier business media relations
  • Established relationships with reporters, editors and producers across leading national business outlets
  • A proven track record of securing coverage with outlets such as CNBC, Forbes, Fortune, Fast Company, Bloomberg, Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Reuters and Axios
  • Deep experience developing and pitching thought leadership opportunities for senior executives
  • Broad corporate communications experience across sustainability, DEI, investor relations, corporate announcements, executive communications and reputation management
  • Excellent storytelling and media instincts, with the ability to find compelling angles within complex corporate subject matter
  • A genuine love of pitching and willingness to personally own outreach and follow-up
  • Strong executive presence and confidence advising senior clients and internal teams
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly and operate with a high degree of autonomy
