Coordinate and produce communications content for a health system, manage small marketing projects, and support the Communications Manager.

  • Own drafting and editing content for newsletters, social media, and materials across channels.
  • Must-have: Associate’s degree plus excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills.
  • Standout: office-based hybrid role with occasional day travel representing the organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit clear, compelling content for newsletters, flyers, rack cards, social media, website, and more
  • Create and Design drafts for effective marketing materials (social posts, T-shirts, flyers, etc.) with minimal supervision. (Adobe design experience preferred, but not required. You do not have to have professional design experience.)
  • Post and schedule engaging content across multiple social media platforms
  • Draft press releases and letters and coordinate distribution to media outlets, patients, and community partners
  • Manage small marketing projects with printers, sign companies, and other external vendors
  • Coordinate special events and contests with the Communications team
  • Manage and maintain mailing lists
  • Track project timelines and deliverables , ensuring deadlines are met
  • Manage calendars and help organize departmental priorities
  • Provide administrative support for the Communications Manager as needed
  • Represent Blue Ridge Health publicly at events or internally during clinic visits as needed (occasional day travel)
  • Collaborate respectfully and inclusively with staff across departments and locations
  • Other duties as assigned
