Job Summary
Own and evolve a nonprofit communications engine that shapes public narrative, media relations, and digital engagement to boost mission visibility and community impact.
- Communications Strategy: Align messaging, branding, and channel mix across press, social, email, and web to reach grantees and local communities.
- Storytelling & Content: Lead compelling narratives and publish calendars for newsletters, reports, and digital content that highlight outcomes and partnerships.
- Media & Digital Engagement: Build relationships with local/regional media and manage social platforms to drive reach and engagement.
Job Description
- Develop and manage communications strategies that advance the Foundation’s mission and visibility.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate press releases, media statements, announcements, and public-facing materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support media relations, including outreach, response coordination, and relationship-building with local and regional media.
- Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and branding across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure clear, consistent, and timely communications with grantees and partners.
- Identify opportunities to elevate grantee stories, community impact, partnerships, and Foundation initiatives.
- Manage and grow the Foundation’s social media presence across relevant platforms.
- Support digital engagement with community members, partners, and stakeholders through public and private platforms.
- Create, schedule, and monitor digital content that engages key audiences and reflects the Foundation’s values.
- Maintain a consistent editorial calendar for social media, email communications, publications, and web updates.
