Coordinate telling the organization’s story through social content, media outreach, and community-facing materials, owning day-to-day communications across social, newsletters, events, and donor communications to raise awareness of affordable housing impact.

  • Outreach and donor communications: support media relations, newsletters, and program updates to broaden community engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule social media content across multiple platforms
  • Create engaging posts highlighting projects, volunteers, donors, and homeowners
  • Draft newsletters, website updates, and organizational communications
  • Assist with media outreach and news releases
  • Capture and organize photos, videos, and stories from projects and events
  • Help maintain consistent branding and messaging across communications
  • Assist with creation of flyers, graphics, and promotional materials using Canva or similar tools
  • Support promotion of events, volunteer opportunities, and programs
  • Attend occasional builds, events, and community activities to gather stories and content
  • Help strengthen community awareness of affordable housing issues and organizational impact

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field — or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital communications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred
  • Photography, video, or basic graphic design skills are a plus
