Drive growth leadership for a co-founder-stage roadside platform, owning GTM, fundraising, and external relations.

  • Own the multi-channel growth funnel from awareness to monetization.
  • Must-have: 7+ years in growth/marketing leadership at high-growth marketplaces.
  • Standout: Direct fundraising experience and a co-founder seat with equity.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Strategy — convert existing organic traction into a repeatable, multi-channel acquisition engine across consumer, commercial/fleet, and campus funnels
  • Performance & Brand Marketing — paid acquisition, lifecycle, content, partnerships, PR, and brand positioning against legacy incumbents
  • Conversion & Revenue — own the funnel from first impression to monetized outcome; instrument, test, iterate
  • Pre-Seed & Seed Fundraising — build the deck, model, and data room; lead investor outreach; close the round alongside the founder
  • Investor & Partner Relations — manage warm-intro pipeline, run diligence, build relationships with insurers, fleets, automotive OEMs, and universities
  • Financial Operations — P&L ownership, burn discipline, hiring plan, founder-level operational hygiene
  • External Voice — conferences, podcasts, press, LinkedIn, partner meetings; you represent the company in public

Requirements

  • 7+ years in growth, marketing, or commercial leadership at a high-growth consumer marketplace, on-demand platform, or two-sided network — ideally with time at both a hyper-growth startup and an enterprise-scale company
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a consumer-facing marketplace (Thumbtack, Angi, Yelp, TaskRabbit, Instacart, DoorDash, Turo, Carvana, Uber, Lyft, or similar) — you understand liquidity, supply/demand balance, and category branding at scale
  • Pre-seed and/or seed fundraising experience — you have personally helped raise institutional capital, you know how the process works, and you can walk into a room with conviction
  • Direct experience with at least one successful exit (acquisition or IPO) at a company you helped scale
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related discipline; a strong MBA or graduate degree is a meaningful plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal presence — energized by people, comfortable on stage, naturally builds relationships with investors, partners, and press
  • U.S.-based, willing to work remote-first with periodic travel

Preferred

  • Prior experience in roadside assistance, automotive services, fleet/insurance tech, or local services marketplaces (Angi, Yelp, Thumbtack, TaskRabbit, HomeAdvisor, Apartments.com, etc.)
  • Familiarity with programmatic SEO, location-based marketing, and category branding as competitive moats
  • Track record of building and managing small, high-leverage marketing teams under capital constraints
  • Network of warm pre-seed/seed investor relationships
  • Comfort operating in a founder-led environment with high ambiguity and high autonomy

Benefits

  • Meaningful co-founder equity, structured with standard four-year vesting and a one-year cliff
  • Cash compensation — modest founder salary post funding, scaling with milestones
  • A defensible moat already built — SEO/GEO equity, provider supply, brand presence, domain portfolio, and a clean strategic narrative
  • A technical and product co-founder who has built every system from the ground up and will let you take co-ownership of the commercial side
  • A category at an inflection point — the same category in which two incumbents delivered exits in back-to-back months
