Job Summary
Own the brand and growth engine for a literary brand, building a subscriber funnel, online presence, and partnerships that drive readership and revenue.
- Growth ownership: Own the subscriber funnel and online presence across website, email, social, and paid ads.
- Operations and partnerships: Onboard and coordinate freelancers and contributors; explore collaborations and sponsorships.
- Measurement and action: Measure performance, report insights, and translate into concrete next steps and experiments.

Responsibilities
- Build a subscriber funnel and online presence to build the business
- Manage and align the following elements: Website, Email program, Social media, Paid ads
- Measure and report on performance drawing insights and translating into actionable next steps
- Onboard, coordinate and work with freelancers and other contributors
- Potentially participate in or lead: Ad sales and sponsorships
- Collaborations and partnerships
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative direction, or social strategy at a consumer or lifestyle brand, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience
- Experience building an enrollment funnel for a content/media/consumer brand
- Interest in and knowledge of the indie literary and magazine businesses
- You push boundaries and take creative risks with your ideas
- You are scrappy, hands-on, and hard working
- Ability to perform analysis and do math
- You are looking for an in-office job
