Job Description

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for the ongoing operations of the credit union branches within the assigned school:

  • Receives deposits to savings and checking accounts, processes withdrawals, receives and posts loan payments, cashes checks and takes check reorders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Runs checks throughout the day and batch checks. End of day balancing is done by the Brand Influencer at close of business. Checks are scanned as they are received daily.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of the function and operation of all security equipment, and knows proper security procedures within the branch.
  • Ensures compliance with all governing regulations, specifically the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and the Patriot Act requirements. She/he must understand and comply with all state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Follows procedures for positively identifying authorized individuals prior to conducting transactions.
  • Acts as vault teller, handling all monetary disbursement and deposits into branch totals.  Assists in the control of traffic in and out of the vault.
  • Opens and closes vault each day and sets alarms each night.
  • Presents a neat and professional image by complying with the employee dress code documented in the Employee Manual.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping of individual area, as well as the entire teller area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Teacher Advisor and REV.

May assume responsibility for the execution of the Finance & Account Management career path:

  • Focuses on monetary disbursements & deposits into branch totals, assisting in the control of vault traffic, and opening and securing the vault during business hours

May assume responsibility for the execution of the Brand Marketing & Outreach career path:

  • Primary focus is to protect and advance the REV brand in all in-school marketing collateral, channels, and communications. Students in this path will lead campaign discussions and work with the REV Creative Team to execute campaign initiatives.

May assume responsibility for the Public Relations & Social Media career path:

  • Focuses on telling the REV story and promoting REV to potential members. work with the REV Creative Team to develop/manage the school branch social media calendar to include the creation and posting of content.

May assume responsibility for the Leadership career path:

  • Primary focus is to ensure the effective execution and documentation of all school branch projects, activations and marketing messages.

Assumes responsibilities for related duties as required or assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Education/Certification & Experience:

  • Average minimum grade of 70 or 2.0 GPA
  • No disciplinary actions on school record resulting in out of school suspension

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, from simple to complex, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write clearly, effectively and professionally to communicate information to members, non-members, other employees and business partners.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate percentages.  Ability to perform these operations using United States currency and the American Standard units of measurements for weight, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
