Job Summary

Own the on-site event execution and relationship-building for Maplewood’s regional beverage promotions, driving product sampling, demos, and customer service across off-premise and on-premise accounts.

  • Event Execution: Manage demonstrations, equipment setup/breakdown, and adherence to event protocols at regional festivals and accounts.
  • Sales Support & Representation: Assist the Regional Sales Rep at promotions, maintain professional Maplewood representation, and deliver product knowledge to customers.
  • Training & Compliance: Attend sales trainings and uphold standards for customer service, safety, and time-management across evening/weekend schedules.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Commitment of 6-12 hours per week, year-round, based on seasonal demands (minimum requirement of 8 engagements per month, events average 3 hours and occur on nights and weekends)
  • Conduct product samplings and demos with current Off-Premise Accounts (liquor stores, grocery stores, etc.)
  • Support Regional Sales Representative with promotional events at current On-Premise Accounts (bars, restaurants, etc.)
  • Utilize and maintain all required equipment at Regional Events/Festivals, including setup and breakdown of jockey box and kegs
  • Follow all event protocol and submit event recaps to Maplewood Management
  • Represent Maplewood in the market in a professional and positive manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and extensive knowledge of the Maplewood product catalog in all customer interactions
  • Participate in company sales trainings and other Sales Team related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ year in Beverage/Beer Sales, Event Marketing, or Brand Promotion is preferred
  • Ability to primarily work evening and weekend hours
  • Strong communication skills, with a relationship-building personality and high standards for customer service
  • Organized, self-motivated, and has the ability to independently solve problems and manage time effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the craft beverage industry and emerging trends
  • Ability to lift 35lbs and use dolly to transport/maneuver 170lbs Kegs
  • Must have a clean driving record, own a reliable car, and be willing to travel
  • Illinois Basset Certification must be completed before start date
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination Required
