Job Summary

Own the product lifecycle for assigned categories, driving profitable launches and ongoing lifecycle optimization through cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and marketing to align pricing, forecasting, and go-to-market plans.

  • Own lifecycle and launch planning: pricing, forecasting, and on-time market introductions.
  • Drive market and competitor insights to shape product strategy and promotions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution from concept to line reviews, packaging, and collateral across online and retail channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support Sr. Business Unit Director for product management activities and new product launches, lifecycle management, and profitable introductions in assigned categories and for specific retail/channel customers.
  • Assist development of the 3-year product plan with market insights to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate on planning and analysis for new products, including pricing, forecasting, launches, and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior and uncover unmet needs.
  • Develop deep market and competitive understanding, including pricing and go-to-market approaches.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and design to generate insights through ideation, teardowns, mock-ups, and analysis.
  • Support final product concepts with Product Design against business requirements and coordinate with Creative for packaging design and development.
  • Analyze sales performance across key retailers and determine actions based on insights.
  • Plan, track, and manage product availability across channels to ensure on-time launches and line reviews.
  • Help develop product models for online and open-channel purchases.
  • Aid in development and validation of product claims, packaging, and A+ marketing content.
  • Support marketing/sales activities such as sales presentations, merchandising, promotions, collateral, and POS for assigned categories.
  • Prepare for and participate in product line reviews as needed.
  • Manage declining lifecycle items, inventory disposition, and monitoring to identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; an MBA is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales/finance/marketing/business analytics is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills for market/competitive evaluation, pricing, and line management.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management with prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
