Job Description

Responsibilities

  • HCP Marketing Strategy & Execution - Lead the development and execution of HCP strategy aligned with brand objectives and customer needs. - Translate customer insights, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence into actionable promotional plans. - Define engagement priorities, messaging strategies, and promotional tactics across HCP audiences. - Ensure all promotional initiatives support brand goals while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus. - Lead the development of core promotional materials and customer-facing assets, including visual aids, digital content, educational resources, and engagement tools. - Ensure messaging is clinically relevant, differentiated, and aligned with customer needs. - Drive promotional campaign development from strategy through execution. - Partner with agency teams to deliver high-quality, insight-driven content and experiences. HCP/Peer-to-Peer Engagement - Lead the development of HCP engagement strategies designed to foster meaningful peer-to-peer interactions and educational exchange. - Identify and implement innovative opportunities for HCP engagement across live, virtual, and hybrid environments. - Partner with cross-functional teams to create impactful customer experiences that strengthen engagement with key healthcare professionals. - Evaluate engagement effectiveness and continuously optimize programs based on customer feedback and performance metrics. Agency, Budget & Operational Leadership - Provide strategic leadership to agency partners to deliver high-impact, compliant marketing programs. - Manage marketing budgets, scopes of work, and agency performance to ensure effective resource allocation and achievement of business objectives. - Drive operational excellence through strong planning, prioritization, governance, and execution. Cross-Functional Leadership - Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Legal/Compliance, and Regulatory functions to ensure HCP marketing initiatives are strategically aligned, compliant, and effectively executed. - Champion HCP engagement strategies that support product launches, lifecycle optimization, and disease awareness efforts, leveraging insights to enhance HCP education and activation. - Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable presentations and business updates for senior leadership, driving alignment on priorities, performance, and future opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience developing and executing HCP-focused marketing, promotional, and engagement strategies.
  • Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, rare disease, ophthalmology, oncology, immunology, or other specialty therapeutic areas is preferred.
  • Experience managing agencies, cross-functional teams, and marketing budgets.
  • Product launch and lifecycle management experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of FDA promotional regulations and industry compliance standards.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment; able to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information.
