Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor on E-Commerce and online marketing disciplines for assigned hotels; provide communication, training and education to GMs and Sales staff to raise awareness and motivation toward E‑Marketing.
  • Analyze hotel-specific needs and create strategies and tactics for increasing revenue, including SEO/SEM, display, pay-per-click, email marketing and paid search.
  • Monitor and manage relationships with OTAs, GDS and brand websites.
  • Be the point-person for reputation management; review social pages and respond to reviews on Trip Advisor, Google Plus and other sites.
  • Audit each hotel's online presence for imagery, content accuracy and functional links.
  • Develop location-specific strategies to meet or exceed revenue and market share goals.
  • Oversee inventory controls and address booking volume from third-party internet companies and central reservations.
  • Maintain electronic distribution strategies including online content, market manager relationships, OTAs and GDS distribution.
  • Review rooms inventory and rate controls in central reservation systems.
  • Collaborate with a web vendor to optimize SEO, ensuring properties maximize search engine traffic.
  • Grow online bookings for group, meeting and catering business for assigned properties.
  • Support brand direct booking strategies to shift OTA bookings; identify opportunities to increase visitors and conversions.
  • Generate and communicate analytic reports; assist in action plans based on data.
  • Discuss trends and sales strategy; review results, upcoming events and occupancy/RevPAR action plans.
  • Develop seasonal pricing and ensure consistency across distribution channels.
  • Complete weekly booking pace and month-end statistics; provide critical analysis on performance versus forecasts.
  • Travel to assigned hotels or offices for training and meetings as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Operations.

Requirements

  • Marketing degree or relevant education/experience.
  • 4 years in online marketing and revenue management within the hotel industry; experience with major brands is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and online marketing mediums with experience in distributed marketing and business development.
  • Background in SEO, PPC, display advertising and email marketing.
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to navigate databases, browsers, email and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Property Management Systems and Computer Reservations Systems; IQ Ware experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional guest-service orientation with strong follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, responsible with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership in helping teams meet performance goals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for training and business activities.

Preferred

  • Experience with major hospitality brands (Marriott, Hilton, Choice, Starwood, etc.) is a major plus.
  • IQ Ware experience is a plus.
