Job Summary

Own the program operations pipeline from inquiry intake and CRM data management to outreach, content creation, event support, and client engagement, coordinating admin and marketing tasks under the Director.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director to implement program initiatives, support continuous improvement efforts, and advance CB&I's strategic goals and overall program excellence.
  • Manage the intake of new business inquiries to include monitoring program inboxes and related intake channels, ensuring timely, professional responses and connecting prospective clients with the appropriate resource, advisor, or program.
  • Maintain and update client and program data across the organization's CRM, cloud-based systems, and project management tools (training provided).
  • Develop and distribute newsletters and manage social media accounts, including content planning and posting; working understanding of tools such as Typeform, Constant Contact, and Canva.
  • Create marketing and outreach content, including blog posts, website updates/edits, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain a documented follow-up process with past and current clients to support retention and continued engagement.
  • Collect and input program and client data to support reporting and outcome tracking.
  • Provide event planning support and attend events and workshops as needed.
  • Update and maintain business materials, templates, and client-facing resources.
  • Document internal processes and changes across CB&I program operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of inquiries and tasks with minimal guidance in a deadline-intensive, fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, customer-service oriented, with strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable interacting with a diverse clientele and the public.
  • Strong written communication skills, including newsletters, social media, and blog content.
  • Willingness and ability to learn multiple CRM, cloud-based, and project management systems (training provided).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for data entry and client tracking.
  • Ability to respond to and take direction from the Director effectively and efficiently.
  • This is an in-person position based at the CB&I office in Lacey, WA.
  • Ability to provide consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint).

Preferred

  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or economic development environment.
  • Experience with grant writing or grant-funded programs (see Wage/Benefits - eligible for higher starting pay).
  • Experience with website content management (e.g., WordPress or similar platforms).
  • Experience working with small businesses in Thurston County.
  • Demonstrated experience as a team-oriented and team-driven individual.
