Job Summary

Own the publishing and accuracy governance for Publix price ad content, coordinating with Ad Content Developers and Corporate Purchasing to fix data gaps, enforce a style guide, and approve printer proofs.

  • Ad content production and proofreading workflow across price/item ads.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with ad support and printers to resolve missing or inaccurate copy.
  • Maintain the Publix Ad Content style guide for punctuation, terminology, and mandatory disclosures.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Proofreading creative material and ensuring Corporate Purchasing product information and pricing is accurate Protecting the Publix reputation.
  • Producing the Weekly Ad.
  • Ensuring a quality reproduction of all routine price/item print ads during review of printer’s proof.
  • Researching missing or inaccurate information and copy in partnership with Corporate Purchasing Ad Support Coordinators and the Ad Content Developers.
  • Documenting and maintaining a Publix Ad Content style guide that provides rules and guidelines for price item communications, including punctuation, spelling, grammar rules, nomenclature, and mandatories such as disclaimers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a business administration, graphic design, advertising, journalism, or related field or equivalent experience
  • One (1) year as an Ad Production Designer or Bilingual Ad Content Coordinator or equivalent experience and
  • Three (3) years of experience editing or proofreading, preferably within an advertising agency or marketing department
  • Knowledge of established creative/design standards for routine price/item print ads
  • Knowledge of established price/item print ad development process, which includes thorough knowledge of internal process as well as general knowledge of external processes (ad content, pre-press, printer, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of print production and pre-press processes
