ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to join our fully remote, fast-growing international digital marketing agency. This role will support our enterprise division supervising a team of three. The Accounting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller and will oversee billing and revenue, accounts payable and the general ledger reconciliation process. In addition, this role will be responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of the intercompany reconciliations for 21 international subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NetSuite, Salesforce, Ramp and Excel, as well as a solid understanding of global accounting practices.

This role is available due to an internal transition, offering a great opportunity for a new team member to join and make an impact. Candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the United States to be considered. This role is fully remote role with flexible working hours to collaborate across time zones. Central or Mountain time zone preferred.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting Operations: Supervise daily accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance.
• Intercompany Reconciliation: Lead the monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions across 21 international subsidiaries, working with our international partners and ensuring alignment with global accounting standards and accurate reporting.
• Commission Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of commissions for the sales and client services teams, including commission calculations, reporting, and adjustments as needed.
• Financial Reporting: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes including account reconciliations and financial statement review.
• ERP Management: Leverage NetSuite for efficient financial management, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. Troubleshoot issues and optimize system usage for better financial visibility and accuracy.
• Salesforce Integration: Ensure the accuracy of the integration with NetSuite assuring the validity of revenue related to new sales and change orders.
• Ramp Integration: Oversee accounts payable, credit card transactions and reimbursement requests in Ramp. Review statement reconciliations in NetSuite.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Support external audits by providing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures.
• Team Management & Development: Supervise and mentor a team of three accountants, assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance reviews to ensure continuous growth and efficiency.
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for streamlining processes, automating workflows, and improving system integration to enhance financial reporting and operations.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, inclusive of 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Experience in intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency translations
• Strong working knowledge of NetSuite
• Familiarity with Salesforce for sales commission management and data integration
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
• Knowledge of GAAP/ IFRS and international accounting regulations, preferred
• Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment
• Ability to identify process weaknesses or gaps and ability to propose and implement changes to improve the process
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across international teams

BONUS POINTS

• Public accounting background is strongly preferred
• Previous experience in a remote-first environment supervising teams across multiple time zones
• Experience working in a Digital Marketing or SaaS business model
• Strong understanding of multi-currency consolidations and foreign exchange accounting
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a remote work setting

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION

• Base Salary: USD $110,000.00 to $125,000.00; depending on experience and skills
• Discretionary annual bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary
