Responsibilities

• Write and review first drafts of press releases, media alerts, LinkedIn content and other PR materials
• Develop media lists using Muck Rack and other research tools
• Pitch media and build strong relationships with journalists
• Help manage day-to-day account execution across multiple clients, ensuring projects move forward on time and at a high standard
• Lead client calls and meetings and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams
• Interview clients and help develop PR plans, messaging and media strategies
• Create monthly reports using internal tools and software
• Mentor and support junior team members through collaboration and feedback
• Learn clients’ businesses and stay informed on industry news and trends that impact them
• Follow internal systems and processes, including time tracking and workflow management

Requirements

• Degree in public relations, communications or a related field
• 3+ years of PR experience
• strong writing ability
• understands media strategy and pitching
• ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• eagerness to learn clients’ businesses

Preferred

• experience supporting executive thought leadership, crisis communications and LinkedIn programs
• collaborative, proactive and excited to work with our client teams to produce high-quality, thoughtful work
