Account Director

Job Summary

The Account Director will be responsible for the strategic thinking, oversight, and management of multiple clients and brands. This includes end-to-end support on development, execution, and delivery of all deliverables. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to deliver high-quality work and organically grow the business. People who excel in this role are highly empathetic, patient, warm, thoughtful, organized, and excellent communicators.    

 

Core Responsibilities 

Leads MPATHIK Client relationships  

  • Builds and maintains mutually beneficial working relationships with all Clients
  • Is the primary point of contact for MPATHIK Clients
  • Facilitates open communication to develop a trusting relationship with Clients in an effort to deliver the highest quality work
  • Looks for opportunities to organically grow business and proactively identify ways to support their clients to continuously support the overall brand objectives and strategic imperatives
  • Travels to clients as necessary to build rapport, trust, and strong relationships

Manages facilitation of project development and execution

  • Supports overall workflow management internally at MPATHIK, with the Client along with client MLR teams
  • Ensures project details are clearly outlined and approved by client within project briefs. This includes clearly identifying project objectives and overall goals we are aiming to accomplish through the development of our deliverables
  • Provides clear, strategic direction to internal team and evaluates agency deliverables to ensure that they align with project objectives and client expectations
  • Works with Head of Client Service to determine resource needs to efficiently and effectively support project development and execution
  • Proactively identifies potential issues or conflicts during the project lifecycle to mitigate any client concerns
  • Leads/Supports all strategy and planning meetings, status meetings, financial reconciliation, partner agency coordination, and project-level reporting as necessary

Management of all financial aspects of brands

  • Supports with SOW development, forecasting, accruals and invoicing aligned to internal and client processes
  • Responsible for financial health of all client projects/deliverables to ensure successful tactical execution resulting in on-time and on-budget performance

Critical Knowledge

  • Establishes and maintains comprehensive understanding of each client’s business
  • In-depth knowledge of and empathy for each disease state we are supporting
  • Continuous understanding of industry business trends and knowledge of what is going on in the rare and patient engagement space to offer innovative and custom solutions for our clients
  • Supports patient + content strategy in the translation of patient/caregiver insights into programs and materials developed for our clients
  • Participates and supports all new business activities to continuously grow the MPATHIK business

Operational + Process Support

  • Supports Head of Client Services to maintain updates to SOPs, providing ongoing recommendations for opportunities to improve internal operations of the agency
  • Responsible for ensuring processes are being followed to support overall workflow efficiencies as business grows and scales
  • Client Service champion ensuring cross-functional teams are working together cohesively and consistently, adhering to internal agency SOPs
  • Has a strong understanding of overall processes related to internal and external responsibilities associated with Adverse Event Reporting, including: 
  • Training on any client-specific SOPs and reporting requirements  
  • Ensures internal team is aligned with client-specific requirements  
  • Leads reporting of Adverse Events (AE), as needed 

Experience and Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree

·      5-7 years of agency client management experience

·      Excellent leadership and organizational skills

·      Confident approach to managing client and internal teams

·      Strong presentation skills

·      High sense of empathy

·      A passion for patient/caregiver work to drive excellent work above industry standards

·      Exceptional written and communication skills

·      Background in biopharmaceutical patient marketing required (agency or client side)

Salary range: $125.000-$140,000
