Own and align the US Specialty Respiratory portfolio strategy from pipeline to launch, serving as the commercial voice in governance forums and coordinating cross functional leadership to shape investment and execution decisions.

  • Strategic ownership: lead portfolio and pipeline strategy across inline and pipeline assets, with payer/value early in development.
  • External engagement: set and optimize the external expert ecosystem and field insights feeding brand, portfolio, and go-to-market decisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Specialty Respiratory Leadership & Strategy Integration
  • Define and lead the integrated U.S. strategy across portfolio, pipeline, and strategic engagement for Specialty Respiratory medicines.
  • Ensure tight linkage between early asset strategy and in-market execution, connecting development decisions with customer engagement and insights.
  • Serve as the voice of the U.S. commercial for Specialty Respiratory across governance forums and enterprise decision-making bodies.
  • Drive alignment across Brand, Medical, Market Access, R&D, and Commercial leadership where appropriate and applicable.
  • Operates as the Marketing VP's primary strategic deputy for Specialty Respiratory, holding functional decision-making authority over U.S. engagement investment priorities, external expert strategy, and the commercial input into pipeline decisions.
  • Portfolio & Pipeline Strategy Leadership
  • Oversee development of integrated U.S. portfolio strategies across in-line and pipeline Specialty Respiratory assets (Phase 2 through launch), ensuring alignment with brand strategy, commercial objectives, and medical priorities.
  • Ensure delivery of robust U.S. market analyses, insights, and assumptions that inform stage-gate decisions, financial valuations, and investment prioritization.
  • Lead lifecycle strategy, including indication prioritization, sequencing, and lifecycle extension opportunities, informed by insights from in-line brands, customer experience, and external experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Life Sciences, or related field).
  • Significant experience (7+ years) in pharmaceutical/biotech leadership roles across: Pipeline or new product strategy and/or equivalent Portfolio Marketing Experience
  • Field leadership and/or leadership of customer-facing organizations or other leadership at scale
  • Experience leading, developing or executing congresses, P2P, and/or marketing/operations
  • Leadership of complex, cross-functional organizations within specialty medicines
  • Experience influencing senior – VP and above level- stakeholders and enterprise decisions.
  • Specialty Respiratory- Specific Portfolio Experience or Similar Portfolio Experience in a Specialty Commercial Function – Marketing, Sales, Operations
  • Experience with accountability for full budget and resource management across a multi-functional team or program

Preferred

  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Specialty Medicines spanning: Early- and late-stage pipeline strategy Launch and lifecycle management Customer engagement and field insight models Track record of building integrated strategy-to-execution models across portfolio, pipeline, and strategic engagement.
  • Second Line Leadership
  • Experience with both patient administered and HCP administered Specialty Medicines
