Job Summary

Own content creation for a NYC audience with hands on control of IG/LinkedIn, two monthly newsletters, and 2–3 NYC event shoots per month; requires self-direction, data minded tweaks, and in person gear.

Content ownership: plan and execute social posts and newsletter formatting with a data minded lens.
Event coverage: shoot and edit photo/video during NYC in person events.
Platform agility: stay current with algorithm changes and tool updates to inform content strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll work directly with our Executive Director to develop and execute content across platforms (primarily Instagram & LinkedIn), and support the formatting and creation of two monthly email newsletters (HubSpot). Mostly Remote.
SCOPE. Smart content strategy, copywriting, graphic design, video capture, photography, short-form video editing, photo editing, email marketing, and analytics reporting.
Produce 1 post/week across IG + LinkedIn
Support & Format 2 newsletters/month
In-person event coverage in NYC (~2–3x/month) for photo/video capture

Requirements

NYC-based. In-person event attendance is required for capturing content (~2-3x/month).
Equipment. You must bring your own equipment to this role – camera, mics, editing software, etc.
Self-directed. You can execute without constant direction.
Data-oriented. Genuine interest in analytics and strategy to be informed by performance & metrics.
Tech-savvy. Up to date on platform roll-outs and changes to the algorithm. Quick to learn new tools and processes.
Strong writing. AI can be a helpful tool but does not replace human tone.
Eye for design. Clean and credible – but not stuffy.
