Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute a digital media strategy for an official U.S. Navy presence
  • Produce multimedia content: video, graphics, articles, and infographics
  • Manage official Facebook and Instagram channels on a structured content calendar
  • Run real-time engagement: polls, contests, live sessions, and community response
  • Analyze audience behavior and content performance; deliver monthly performance reporting
  • Keep every post aligned with DoD and Navy public affairs and OPSEC guidance

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), including a favorable federal background investigation (Tier 3)
  • 3+ years managing social media or digital content for an organization or brand, with a portfolio of published work
  • Strong writing, video, and graphics skills; comfortable owning a channel end to end
  • Available on-site in the Honolulu area, Monday–Friday during standard duty hours

Preferred

  • A current CAC, an active clearance, or a favorably adjudicated background investigation from recent DoD work
  • Navy Mass Communication Specialist (MC), Army/joint Public Affairs, or DINFOS training
  • Experience running official military or government social media accounts
  • Military community fluency: veterans and military spouses strongly encouraged to apply
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, short-form video editing, and social analytics tools
