Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and execute comprehensive local SEO strategies tailored to client growth goals.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink evaluations to inform strategy.
- Perform technical and on-page SEO audits; track keyword rankings, analyze website traffic, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Build and manage Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization strategies, including citation building and local presence management.
- Write and optimize website and blog content for engagement, local relevance, and conversions.
- Collaborate with internal content, development, and design teams to implement SEO strategies efficiently.
- Monitor algorithm updates and industry trends; proactively test and implement new SEO tactics.
- Serve as the internal SEO subject matter expert and a resource for the broader team.
- Coach and mentor junior SEO team members — providing feedback, guidance, and hands-on support to develop their skills.
- Conduct peer reviews of SEO strategies, audits, and deliverables to uphold quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of SEO experience, with agency or local SEO experience required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Search Console (GSC)
- SEMrush or comparable SEO platforms (Ahrefs, Moz)
- Google Business Profile (GBP)
- WordPress and Elementor
- Deep expertise in local SEO, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link building.
- Strong understanding of Google Business Profile and local search ranking factors.
- Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients.
