Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Full understanding of $100M transformation and reposition of resort; support and implement all tactical initiatives
  • Develop and manage internal communications with stakeholders. Distribute marketing reports, PR developments, upcoming media stay announcements, etc.
  • Provide updates and content to external stakeholders (agencies and partnerships)
  • Assist in developing copy and maintaining brand voice
  • Assist in maintaining website content on Marriott.com, and 3 vanity sites
  • Coordinate paid and unpaid marketing strategy with Marriott Digital Services
  • Coordinate all promotional campaigns and resort updates with social agency and PR agency.
  • Work with PR agency on all media and influencer stay/site visits. Coordinate trip itineraries and stays. Track analytics for each.
  • Act as Social Media Champion
  • Create 2 social media stories per week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related degree; equivalent field experience with proven history and industry recommendations may be considered
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments including graphic design, public relations and advertising, as well as vendors, contractors and freelancers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for representing organizations in public and during media events
  • Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Familiarity with project management software is also an asset
  • Good computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates. Working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features is a must with experience in web page development or graphic design being very helpful
  • Resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign
  • Editorial copy writing skills preferred
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
