Job Summary

Drive integrated marketing strategy by turning research into actionable plans across multi-channel programs.

  • Own cross-channel strategy development spanning paid, owned, and earned media to inform media, creative, and test roadmaps.
  • Must-have: 8+ years in integrated marketing strategy or brand planning.
  • Standout: Trusted advisor with cross-functional influence and decision-ready narrative skills.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead primary and secondary research efforts that ground strategy in real audience, market, and competitive intelligence.
  • Synthesize research into clear, actionable inputs. Not data dumps. Distill what matters and why.
  • Monitor the external landscape continuously: competitor moves, market shifts, M&A activity, regulatory changes, external factors that could impact a client's program performance. Flag it early. Bring it with a point of view.
  • Build integrated marketing strategies that span the full funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion, retention) and define how each channel plays its role.
  • Develop measurement frameworks at program onset: define the right KPIs, establish a shared glossary, and set the baseline for how success will be evaluated. Ongoing performance tracking is not part of this role.
  • Lead scenario modeling and budget-to-outcome thinking. Help clients and internal teams understand tradeoffs before committing.
  • Translate business goals into marketing strategy that informs media strategies, creative ideation, tactical planning and test roadmaps with clarity on direction for cross-functional teams.
  • Turn data and research into recommendations, not summaries. Every insight should have a "so what" and a "now what."
  • Identify optimization opportunities across media mix, messaging, audience targeting, and channel sequencing.
  • Stay current on marketing technology, channel innovation, and analytics advancements. Bring relevant trends into planning proactively.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to cross-functional teams and to the client. They should feel like you understand their business, not just their campaign.
  • Present complex strategy clearly to senior stakeholders by translating data and frameworks into compelling, decision-ready narratives.
  • Build confidence through proactive communication with account teams: flag risks, surface opportunities, and never let clients be surprised.
  • Partner with account, channel leads (paid social, search, CRM, programmatic), creative, and analytics teams to ensure strategy is understood, shared, and executable.
  • Write briefs and strategy documents that actually enable great work. No templates filled with jargon.
  • Manage governance across integrated programs: timing, messaging consistency, brand voice, and operational alignment.
