Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary social media client contact for multiple accounts.
  • Provides strategic recommendations including influencer mapping.
  • Develops project scopes and briefs.
  • Develops and implements social media campaign strategy, platforms, content, and analytics reporting tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.
  • Create visually appealing graphics and layouts for social media posts.
  • Schedule and oversee social media content using scheduling platform Sprout Social to ensure clients have a regular social posting cadence.
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users, creating community engagement and audience interaction.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools – includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations agency, in-house communications at a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device company, hospital or laboratory social media content management.
  • Proficient in designing original graphics optimized for a range of social media platforms – experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a major plus.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging and understandable content.
  • Understands the U.S. Food & Drug Administration guidelines for industry use of social media.
  • Proficient skills using social media platforms, including their respective strengths and demographic nuances.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret social media analytics to guide strategy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
