Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the development of PR strategies aligned with client business goals in partnership with the Account Director
Demonstrate a deep understanding of client priorities, competitive landscape, and industry trends
Build and maintain client trust as a strategic advisor by delivering proactive counsel and actionable insights
Oversee the creation of press materials, including press releases, bylines, thought leadership content, press kits, and media talking points
Recommend and guide the development of creative assets to support PR initiatives
Prepare and coach spokespeople for media interviews, panels, and appearances
Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and progress updates
Deliver reporting and analysis that connects PR performance to broader business objectives
Collaborate cross-functionally with social, paid media, and account teams for integrated campaigns
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing feedback and direction

Requirements

7–10+ years of public relations experience (agency experience preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Proven success securing national, regional, and trade media coverage
Exceptional writing skills across press materials and thought leadership content
Experience coaching spokespeople for media engagements
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Monday.com, Muck Rack, Cision, and presentation tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate results into actionable insights
Understanding of integrated PR across social, paid, and influencer marketing
Experience in B2B, trade PR, building products, or nonprofit/DC organizations is a plus
Influencer management experience is a plus
