Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leverage market sales data and internal research to identify priority features and willingness-to-pay by PC Collection and region.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear, actionable recommendations for portfolio decisions (device mix, feature prioritization, and price bands).
  • Develop recurring insights outputs (e.g., readouts, dashboards, and briefs) to support long-range planning forums and in-quarter decision-making.
  • Create and maintain a repeatable process to share device archetypes and advocacies across internal and external partners.
  • Drive the process to develop the twice-yearly Device Portfolio Long Range strategy (Planning Forum), including post-forum/tour debrief sessions and action tracking.
  • Create recurring touchpoints with ecosystem partners to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and socialize strategy.
  • Improve operational clarity by documenting decisions, owners, and timelines; ensure artifacts are easy to find and consistently updated.
  • Partner with the Portfolio team and Engineering to prioritize top devices based on sell-through performance, advocacy requirements, and strategic fit.
  • Support device selection and trade-off discussions by framing options, assumptions, and implications (consumer value, channel viability, and ecosystem readiness).
  • Maintain a point of view on “hero” devices and assortment coherence, grounded in performance signals and customer insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in analytics, portfolio/strategy, consumer electronics, product marketing, category management, or a related role.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize multiple data sources (e.g., market sales data, consumer research, and internal performance signals) into clear narratives and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Skills; able to create executive-ready artifacts. Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive clarity and alignment across stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience working with retail/channel assortment, sell-through performance, or device portfolio planning.
  • Familiarity with the PC ecosystem (OEMs, silicon partners, retailers) and the drivers of consumer device purchase decisions.
  • Proficiency with common analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL or equivalent).
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building lightweight processes that scale.
  • Experience supporting planning cadences (quarterly business reviews, planning forums, or similar leadership rhythms).
