Job Summary

Own media planning, budgeting, and negotiation for podcast campaigns with a client-first lens and relentless accuracy.

  • Own the end-to-end planning and finalization process in Engage, plus ongoing optimization across multiple accounts.
  • Shape relationships with network partners and vendor peers to improve negotiations and delivery quality.
  • Provide clear performance insights to clients and internal teams to steer decisions and protect outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops client-focused media plans with clear strategic rationale and presents them to clients with confidence and clarity, entering finalized plans into Engage with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manages budgets, assesses opportunities, and maintains a rolling opportunities proposal to ensure clients are always positioned for growth.
  • Leads buying and negotiation efforts while monitoring delivery and optimizing campaign performance in real time.
  • Oversees campaign execution across assigned accounts, making real-time optimizations as needed to maximize performance.
  • Handles ad hoc requests with agility and flexibility, adapting quickly to evolving client needs and shifting priorities.
  • Proactively identifies and flags potential issues, bringing solutions — not just problems — to the team.
  • Manages campaign verification and reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goals at every stage.
  • Communicates performance insights clearly and professionally to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains strong strategic relationships with network partners to drive favorable negotiation outcomes.
  • Stays at the forefront of new opportunities emerging within the podcast ecosystem, bringing relevant insights and recommendations to the team.
  • Ensures all vendor-facing communication is professional, timely, and aligned with internal standards.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of media buying or planning experience, with a track record of managing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience building relationships with media vendors.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail — you take pride in getting things right the first time.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment — comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving processes and priorities.
  • Embodies radical accountability: owns outcomes fully, communicates proactively when things go off-track, and treats every challenge as an opportunity to learn and improve.
  • A proactive problem solver who brings solutions, not just problems, to the table.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with media planning/buying tools (e.g., Salesforce/Engage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
