Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support marketing strategies that promote UAMS programs, events, services, and initiatives within the Upper Albany business district and surrounding communities.
  • Create professional print and digital marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, event signage, social media graphics, and reusable templates.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive Brand Toolkit that organizes approved logos, fonts, colors, imagery, and templates for internal use.
  • Use Canva and other design tools to produce visually engaging, accessible, and print-ready materials that follow consistent branding and messaging.
  • Maintain and update digital marketing channels, including website content, Google Business listings, newsletters, online directories, and other digital platforms.
  • Support social media marketing and digital promotion by preparing graphics, campaign materials, and content for organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate community outreach activities, including distributing promotional materials, supporting events, and engaging local merchants, partners, sponsors, and community organizations.
  • Photograph or document UAMS programs and events, as needed, for marketing, storytelling, and organizational communications.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of visual layout, color theory, branding, and design consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple assignments and project timelines.

Preferred

  • Experience or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience creating brochures, flyers, newsletters, social media graphics, brand guides, or other marketing materials.
  • Experience with website content management, Google Business, digital analytics, or online directories.
