Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and break down our booth at three weekly markets (Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls)
  • Create an exceptional guest experience through warm, confident hospitality and product guidance
  • Educate customers on products, sourcing, cuts, cooking basics, and usage recommendations
  • Maintain booth standards: cleanliness, organization, presentation, pricing/signage, and inventory flow
  • Handle transactions accurately (cash and card), follow cash-handling procedures, and close out sales
  • Pack, label, and fulfill customer and wholesale orders accurately and on schedule
  • Complete weekly deliveries and provide professional customer handoff and communication
  • Support customer follow-up when needed (availability, substitutions, pickup/delivery coordination)
  • Keep market equipment, product, and supplies organized and ready for service
  • Track basic order, inventory, and market notes using email and spreadsheets
  • Communicate product needs, customer feedback, and operational issues clearly to the team

Requirements

  • Proven customer service experience (hospitality, teaching, retail, or food service strongly preferred)
  • Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with customers and building relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to execute independently without constant oversight
  • Comfortable using email, Excel, and basic computer software with accuracy and ease
  • Interest in food education and community-building; ranching/agriculture knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to lift and carry 60–80 lbs regularly (product cases, coolers, market gear)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable ability to complete deliveries and market transport
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physical setup/breakdown
  • Availability for required schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat (initially essential)

Preferred

  • Farmers market, retail sales, or food brand experience is a plus (not required)
