Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Automation Platform Expert: Own and administer the marketing automation platform, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot (MCAE) for the end user audience, managing its technical health, integrations, and the evaluation of new marketing technologies
  • Marketing Process Optimization: Liaise and optimize scalable, automated marketing processes, including lead scoring, nurturing, and campaign workflows to support the full customer lifecycle
  • Innovation & AI: Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness within our marketing automation programs, staying current on industry trends
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Establish a robust analytics framework to report on campaign performance, using A/B testing and data-driven insights to optimize for ROI, partnering with the customer experience analytics team
  • Data Management: Govern marketing database health, segmentation, and data integrity, while ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
  • Team Collaboration & Training: Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing automation, providing expert guidance and training to empower the automation team and other marketers on automation best practices and tools
  • Must be able to work hybrid (3 days in office/2 remote) from Lincolnshire, IL or downtown Chicago

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 8+ years of related work experience in marketing
  • 5+ years of experience with a marketing automation platform, MCAE and/or Pardot experience is a plus
  • 10% travel domestic and international
  • Must be able to work hybrid (3 days in office/2 remote) from Lincolnshire, IL or downtown Chicago

Preferred

  • Platform & Process Expertise: Deep, hands-on proficiency with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot, including system administration, process optimization, and data governance. Proven experience designing and governing scalable marketing workflows. A forward-thinking mindset with a strong understanding of how AI and machine learning can be applied to marketing automation.
  • Data & Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources, synthesizing it into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve campaign performance and ROI.
  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in a people management role, with the ability to teach, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
