  • Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
  • Modality: In-person
  • Position: Lecturer
  • This course provides an in-depth overview of the challenges and opportunities marketing managers face in the sports industry. It examines how organizations can use sports to achieve their marketing objectives, covering topics such as licensing, stadium naming rights, and a focused exploration of sponsorship. The course also highlights the unique characteristics of sports as a product and the application of marketing mix strategies in both domestic and global sports markets.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • A master' degree in business administration or in a related discipline
  • Active current experience in a role with expertise in sports marketing and the management of sponsorships.
  • Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
Preferred
  • A doctorate or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service.
