Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a variety of in-depth reference documents with the latest internal and competitive information
  • Represent the Product Marketing team as “voice of the customer” in internal technical forums and drive new proposals to decision
  • Generate high-quality and concise presentations on various topics to support leadership decision making
  • Conduct proactive and ad hoc research on the automotive industry with specific focus on Scout’s competitive landscape
  • Lead new product feature proposals by the Product Marketing team with timely and complete research

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Information Studies, or similar
  • 12+ years of experience in the automotive industry or similar consumer product industry with a focus on product management, competitive research, industry benchmarking, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience of owning a product line and ensuring its success over complete lifecycle
  • Technical understanding of a complex product offer and ability to work in conjunction with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, etc. to drive tangible business results
  • Deep expertise in presentation creation and direct experience with C-suite level review
  • Creative vision for how to most effectively present complex information to internal audiences
  • Ability to handle both regularly scheduled and ad hoc assignments simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Passion for automotive, innovation, and building something from the ground up

Preferred

  • Understanding or experience in graphic design
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field

Compensation

  • Initial Base Salary Range: $160,000.00 - $192,500.00
  • This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Location and Travel

  • Location & Travel Expectations: This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
  • In addition, applicants should expect that the role will require travel to other Scout Motors locations, including the Product Innovation Center in Novi, Michigan or the Production Center in Blythewood, South Carolina.
