Job Summary

Own end-to-end local activation programs for Underdog, from scouting venues and negotiating deals to on-site representation and budget management, with a focus on fast logistics and high-impact events.

  • Plan bar takeovers, tailgates, and street activations that feel local and authentic
  • Coordinate vendors, venues, and contractors, and persist through gatekeeping to get programs built

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run local activations like bar takeovers and tailgates and street-level stunts. You're not approving these from a desk, you're building them.
  • Land vendor and venue deals. Call vendors, negotiate space, coordinate contractors, and when the first answer is no, find another way in.
  • Travel to key markets and be the person physically representing Underdog on site when it counts.
  • Manage timelines and budgets for each activation, while still pitching your own ideas. This isn't a pure execution role.
  • Use AI tools to move faster on the logistics grind, so you can spend your time on the stuff that actually needs a human: the vendor calls, the on site problem solving, the relationships.

Requirements

  • Location: CA or TX preferred, open to remote with travel.
  • The role travels about two weekends a month during the NFL season.

Preferred

  • Experience at an experiential or event marketing agency
  • Campus event production, or anything where you built something out of basically no resources
  • Grinder energy: organized enough to run logistics, scrappy enough to enjoy the chaos when the plan falls apart

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO (we're extremely flexible with the exception of the first few weeks before & into the NFL season)
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • Home office stipend
  • A connected virtual first culture with a highly engaged distributed workforce
  • 5% 401k match, FSA, company paid health, dental, vision plan options for employees and dependents
