Job Summary

The role centers on owning and optimizing multi-brand email marketing, including automations, deliverability, and cross-channel collaboration. It requires hands-on experience with infrastructure, platforms, and AI-driven workflows. You’ll manage multiple brands, analyze performance, and stay ahead of industry changes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the full email marketing funnel. Build and manage welcome sequences, abandoned cart flows, win-back campaigns, post-purchase journeys, and broadcast newsletters across multiple client brands simultaneously.
  • Set up and maintain backend email infrastructure. Configure sending domains, authenticate with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, monitor deliverability, manage list health, handle suppression and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and maintain strong sender reputation.
  • Build and deploy automation flows. Create and optimize behavioral triggers, lead nurture sequences, and multi-step automations in platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, or Go High Level.
  • Write and edit high-converting email copy. Craft compelling subject lines, preview text, body copy, and CTAs rooted in behavioral psychology and brand voice — or brief and collaborate with the Copy team to do so.
  • Leverage AI to amplify output. Use AI tools (including Claude) as a core part of your workflow to accelerate copy drafting, segmentation strategy, A/B test generation, performance analysis, and template iteration.
  • Segment and personalize at scale. Build and maintain clean audience lists, apply behavioral and demographic segmentation, and personalize sends to maximize relevance and results across diverse brand audiences.
  • Report on performance and optimize. Track open rates, CTR, deliverability, revenue per email, conversion rates, and list growth. Identify trends and implement data-driven improvements on a rolling basis.
  • Collaborate across channels. Coordinate with Paid Ads, Social Media, and Web teams to ensure email is integrated into broader campaign strategies and launch moments.
  • Manage overlapping client deadlines. Juggle 5–10 brands simultaneously with strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Stay current. Continuously research platform updates, inbox algorithm changes, AI tools, and email best practices to keep Studiogen and its clients ahead of the curve.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on email marketing experience, with a proven track record of driving measurable results across campaigns and automated flows
  • Deep technical knowledge of email infrastructure: domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), deliverability best practices, list hygiene, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in at least two major email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Go High Level, or HubSpot); ability to learn new platforms quickly
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in your workflow — you should be actively using AI to enhance the speed, quality, and output of your email marketing work, not just experimenting with it
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to write clear, compelling, on-brand email copy across varied industries and tones
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and client priorities simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, ask smart questions, and execute with minimal hand-holding

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an agency or multi-client environment managing email across diverse brand voices and industries
  • Familiarity with SMS marketing platforms and best practices (e.g., Attentive, Postscript, or GHL)
  • Experience with basic HTML/CSS for email template customization and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of CRO principles and how email integrates with landing pages, ads, and the broader customer journey
  • Experience building or contributing to a KPI reporting system or marketing dashboard

Benefits

  • Flexible, hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
  • Exposure to diverse projects and cutting-edge technologies across a growing portfolio of brands
  • Opportunity for learning, growth, and advancement in a high-energy, collaborative environment
  • Health benefits and PTO package
