Job Summary

Own the foundation’s digital fundraising and email-marketing engine, aligning audience insights, content, and campaigns to drive donor acquisition, engagement, and campaign performance.

  • Own digital strategy and email content execution for fundraising campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross-team content creation, website and social campaigns, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Measure conversion points and optimize performance across channels to lift donors and contributions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop the digital marketing strategy via Foundation audience segmentation, fundraising trends, and Foundation priority messages and programs.
  • Plan and manage the creation of relevant and engaging digital content for publishing onto various digital platforms with a primary focus on the Foundation’s email marketing program.
  • Work across the Marketing-Communications team and outside vendors to execute email marketing content.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager on website, search engine optimization, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Working with the Development team, evaluate the performance of individual fundraising campaigns, including post-analysis and data reporting.
  • Identify conversion and drop-off points metrics that affect email marketing and individual fundraising performance.
  • Build new growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in Foundation events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • At least 5 years of digital marketing experience
  • Experience leading multiplatform digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Proficiency in MailChimp, Salesforce, GA4 and online fundraising platforms (e.g. Fundraise Up) required.
  • Experience in managing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Regular attendance is required.

Preferred

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of national marine sanctuaries, ocean conservation, and marine science.
