Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the organization-wide email and SMS communications calendar to ensure coordinated, well-timed supporter communications across campaigns.
  • Partner with internal teams to intake briefs and plan, build, and execute email and SMS communications.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of email and SMS campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp, including audience segmentation, journey builds, testing, and deployment.
  • Build and manage automated supporter journeys and workflows using marketing automation tools (e.g., Journey Builder, triggered sends, automatic workflows) to support onboarding, engagement, and retention across the support lifecycle.
  • Implement personalization strategies using dynamic content, behavioral triggers, and supporter data to deliver relevant and engaging communications.
  • Provide strategic guidance on audience targeting, segmentation, and messaging to improve engagement and campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure communications follow industry best practices and are optimized for deliverability, engagement, and performance.
  • Maintain the health and performance of FH’s email and SMS platforms, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including deliverability, spam rates, unsubscribe rates, open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement.
  • Implement ongoing optimization strategies including A/B testing, subject line testing, send-time optimization, content experimentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, or email marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing email marketing programs and lead nurturing campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and email platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices including deliverability, segmentation, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience managing email marketing KPIs such as engagement, conversion, and revenue performance.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email editing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver donor communications.
