Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a Bentonville-embedded Omni Commerce/digital shelf capability that supports every client's Walmart plan, spanning 1P content, 3P marketplace execution, search/SEO, and Sparky (AI) readiness.
  • Define the standards, workflows, and governance model that keep 1P and 3P marketplace listings accurate, compliant, and optimized on a daily basis.
  • Identify where digital shelf gaps are limiting launches, conversion, or revenue, and prioritize the team's roadmap accordingly.
  • Develop MPG's point of view on how the digital shelf is evolving across store, app, site, marketplace, and AI-driven discovery, and translate that into practical capability investments.
  • Own 1P content and product detail page (PDP) standards across assigned clients, including product titles, descriptions, attributes, imagery, rich media, and enhanced content.
  • Set and enforce content quality benchmarks that improve findability, conversion, and compliance across Walmart.com.
  • Oversee new item setup, content syndication, item readiness, and catalog issue resolution for launches, events, and promotional periods.
  • Manage content and PDP standards to optimize sales both in-store and for online-only items, growing total client revenue.
  • Lead 3P Walmart Marketplace management, including listing governance, marketplace health, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) considerations, advising clients on fulfillment models that support marketplace performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in CPG ecommerce, digital commerce, digital shelf management, retail media, or related environment, with direct experience on Walmart.com.
  • Deep understanding of the Walmart.com ecosystem, including 1P content standards, Item 360, Retail Link, 3P Walmart Marketplace, Walmart Fulfillment Services, search/SEO, and PDP best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a digital shelf, content, or marketplace capability, including standards, governance, and workflow design.
  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate digital shelf health, content performance, marketplace compliance, and conversion, and to build scorecards or dashboards from that data.
  • Experience managing or mentoring account managers or analysts supporting digital commerce execution.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across sales, operations, retail media, and insights/analytics teams.
  • Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and organization skills in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
  • High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting platforms.

Preferred

  • Experience with Sparky or other AI-driven shopping/discovery readiness, or with structuring product data for AI search.
  • Experience managing CPG accounts across health and wellness, food and beverage, personal care, home, hardlines, or related categories.
  • Experience within a broker, agency, retail media, or ecommerce consultancy environment.
  • Experience with Walmart Scintilla, digital shelf analytics tools, or platforms such as Skai, Pacvue, Profitero, Edge by Ascential, Google/Looker Studio, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Walmart marketplace models, DSV, Buy Box dynamics, item setup workflows, and catalog troubleshooting.
  • Prior people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing account managers or analysts.

Benefits

  • MPG offers a generous package of health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, paid maternity/paternity leave and life insurance.
