Job Summary

Own the integrated marketing and communications agenda for a mission-driven health nonprofit, balancing brand stewardship with multi-channel campaigns and donor-focused storytelling that move engagement and fundraising metrics.

Job Description

Responsibilities

- Work with Vice President of Strategic Communications, External Affairs, and Vivent Health leadership to develop and lead execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with Vivent Health's mission, strategic priorities, growth objectives, and market opportunities. - Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and competitive trends to inform organizational decision-making and strengthen market position. - Collaborate with cross-department teams to identify opportunities for growth and increased impact. - Ensure marketing initiatives, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation align with organizational goals and priorities. - Serve as steward of the Vivent Health brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels. - Lead integrated campaigns spanning digital, social, email, advertising, public relations, website, and print communications. - Develop compelling content and storytelling strategies that elevate awareness, engagement, and organizational impact. - Support donor engagement and fundraising efforts through strategic communications and campaign development. - Oversee the planning and execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. - Manage project workflows, priorities, external partners, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful outcomes. - Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks to evaluate effectiveness, optimize campaigns, and demonstrate impact. - Utilize market research, audience insights, and analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. - Oversee operations, budgeting, and resource planning for the Marketing & Communications Department. - Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations while fostering professional growth and development. - Build strong relationships across departments to enhance alignment, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required. - Minimum of 8 years of progressive marketing and communications leadership experience, preferably within healthcare, public health, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations. - Minimum of 2+ years of experience leading and developing people; fostering a collaborative, mission-driven team environment that supports high quality care and community impact. - Proven track record of managing complex marketing budgets, including forecasting, allocation, and ROI analysis, while leading the planning and execution of large-scale, multi-channel marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and measurable business results. - Experience in media relations, public relations, reputation management, and crisis communications preferred. - Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, storytelling, and content development skills. - Demonstrated project management excellence. - Strong expertise in brand management, integrated marketing, audience engagement, and demand generation. - Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics, market research, and audience insights to inform strategy, optimize performance, and measure results. - Proven project management, organizational, and budget management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

- Master's degree or MBA preferred. - HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment.
