Job Summary

Own the community marketing agenda by leading occupancy-focused marketing, sales enablement, and PR across print, digital, and events for a retirement campus.

  • Strategic marketing ownership: shape plans, events, campaigns, and budgets to hit occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Brand and materials lead: design brochures, social media, ads, and presentations for multi-channel outreach.
  • Cross-functional alignment: partner with admin, CEO, and departments to ensure consistent communications and resident retention efforts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Marketing leads all aspects of sales, marketing and public relations of the functions of the organization.
  • The Marketing Director position maintains and/or improves upon the occupancy level and revenue production of the community in accordance with marketing and business plans (touring, marketing events, telephoning, and advertising campaign); includes managing the sales process and completing all activities required for a sale.
  • The Director of Marketing creates and designs all marketing materials including, brochures, print ads, social media, media presentations, TV commercials and mail outs.
  • Supervises all sales, marketing, public relations and construction/renovation to the units and campus.
  • Supervises all sales, marketing and public relations staff, provides guidance, training and oversight in all staff duties.
  • The Marketing Director represents the community and increases awareness through participation in outside events.
  • The Director of Marketing also assists management with resident retention.
  • Partners with management to develop and execute marketing plans and achieve community occupancy goals.
  • Leads the development and implementation of all strategic marketing plans, events and campaigns.
  • Maintains and/or improves upon the occupancy level and revenue production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a leadership role in business or not-for-profit sales/marketing, preferably in a retirement housing, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities described.
  • Proven track record of generating and closing a high percentage of qualified leads.
  • Previous experience in the retirement industry.
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service, problem solving and follow-up skills.
  • Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 40 lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere.
