Job Summary

Own Curio’s marketing strategy and brand narrative, guiding creative direction and risk-aware storytelling around AI, safety, and education, while leading partnerships and experiential programs that translate into trusted consumer awareness.

  • Brand Strategy & Execution: Shape cross-channel brand, product packaging, website, and experiences to ensure consistent, credible messaging.
  • Partnerships & Community: Build collaborations, activations, influencer programs, and media opportunities to expand reach and foster trust.
  • Market & Policy Intelligence: Monitor cultural conversations, trends, and policy developments to steer messaging and go-to-market decisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Curio’s marketing strategy, creative direction, and brand identity in collaboration with our two founders
  • Create partnerships, community engagement, experiential activations, influencer collaborations, campaigns, and media opportunities
  • Build consumer awareness while thoughtfully navigating conversations around AI, child safety, education, and emerging policy concerns
  • Monitor cultural conversations, market trends, policy developments, and consumer sentiment in real time
  • Develop messaging frameworks tailored to parents, educators, policy leaders, media, creators, and strategic partners
  • Ensure consistency across product, packaging, website, social media, partnerships, and brand experiences

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, creative direction, or consumer storytelling
  • Deep understanding of the foundational building blocks of marketing within an early-stage startup environment, including brand positioning, audience segmentation, channel strategy, top-of-funnel awareness, customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, PR, community-building, and go-to-market execution
  • Strong critical thinking and business judgment, with the ability to evaluate measurable business outcomes and consumer sentiment
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative marketing instincts with the ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Proven ability to use data, consumer insights, testing, performance metrics, and market signals to drive strategic decision-making
  • Pattern recognition from prior experience across successful and unsuccessful marketing strategies, with strong instincts for avoiding decisions that negatively impact brand credibility
