Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Marketing and Creative serves as the leader of the Pensacola Ice Flyers marketing department and is responsible for driving fan engagement, attendance demand, brand growth, sponsorship activation, merchandise promotion, and campaign execution across the organization.
  • This role owns the organization’s marketing strategy, creative direction, content operations, brand standards, and fan-facing communications.
  • The Director is accountable for the effectiveness of the marketing department and for ensuring that all marketing efforts support organizational goals, revenue objectives, and the overall fan experience.
  • The Director leads the marketing and creative team, establishes department priorities, manages campaign execution, and serves as the primary marketing representative within the organization’s leadership structure.
  • While this is a leadership position, the Director is expected to remain actively involved in flagship campaigns, major creative initiatives, key sponsorship activations, and other high-visibility projects that define the Pensacola Ice Flyers brand.
  • Success is measured by the effectiveness of the department’s output, the strength of the brand, the quality of the fan experience, and the department’s contribution to organizational growth.
  • Lead annual, seasonal, and event-based marketing strategy.
  • Develop campaigns supporting attendance, ticket sales, sponsorship, merchandise, and fan engagement goals.
  • Establish department priorities and allocate resources.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make strategic adjustments.
  • Represent marketing within organizational planning and leadership discussions.
  • Serve as the primary steward of the Pensacola Ice Flyers brand.
  • Lead creative direction for major campaigns, theme nights, jersey concepts, premium experiences, and merchandise launches.
  • Maintain brand standards, templates, design systems, and creative workflows.
  • Provide final review and approval of major creative deliverables.
  • Support season ticket campaigns, renewals, group sales initiatives, and promotional efforts.
  • Partner with Sales and Merchandise leadership to support revenue objectives.
  • Align marketing initiatives with attendance, sponsorship, and merchandise goals.
  • Oversee social media, video production, website and mobile app content, email marketing, and digital communications.
  • Ensure content supports audience growth, engagement, and conversion objectives.
