Job Summary

Own a high impact paid performance engine for a youth-focused retailer, balancing people leadership, big-budget optimization, and cross-channel velocity to hit ROAS and growth targets.

  • Growth leadership: build and mentor a multi-channel team and align agency partners to maximize CAC efficiency.
  • Channel ownership: lead PMAX, smart bidding, full funnel paid social, and affiliate programs to drive volume and ROAS.
  • Measurement and optimization: own attribution, CRO tests, and data integration to continuously improve performance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing internal team of specialized growth marketers while effectively managing top-tier external agency relationships.
  • Direct a multi-million dollar annual acquisition budget across North American digital marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal cross-channel deployment to scale customer acquisition costs efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce Operations teams to align paid media spend with product availability, high-heat sneaker drops, and seasonal promotional calendars.
  • Hit acquisition volume targets and ROAS/efficiency targets simultaneously, knowing when to push growth and when to pull back.
  • Drive the overarching paid search roadmap with focus on optimizing Google Performance Max (PMAX) and automated smart bidding architectures.
  • Oversee full-funnel paid social strategy across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube with algorithmic targeting and creative testing frameworks.
  • Scale the North American Affiliate marketing program, focusing on strategic content publishers, lifestyle blogs, and high-influence creator networks.
  • Spearhead multi-touch attribution, CRO testing frameworks, and data integration efforts to continually improve ROAS.
  • Develop and execute the creative strategy and testing roadmap in partnership with brand marketing and Creative team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of performance marketing/growth experience with a mandatory background in retail or e-commerce (footwear, apparel, or consumer goods strongly preferred)
  • Experience managing acquisition across multiple channels, brands, business lines or conversion events
  • Experience managing $50m+ in performance marketing budget
  • People leadership with a track record of managing and scaling a team with multiple direct reports
  • Deep functional stack expertise: Paid Social (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Pinterest, YouTube; Reddit/Snap preferred), Search/PMAX (Google automation, product feed health, shopping structures), Affiliate networks (Impact, Rakuten)
  • Analytical rigor: GA4, Looker Studio; experience with Northbeam, Measured, Analytics Partners or MMM partners (preferred)
  • Familiarity with SEO/AEO/GEO strategy and the role organic plays in a full-funnel acquisition mix
  • Cultural connection to youth culture, streetwear fashion, and JD Sports brand dynamics

Preferred

  • Experience with Reddit or Snap in paid social (preferred).
  • Experience with Northbeam, Measured, Analytics Partners, or other MMM partners (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SEO/AEO/GEO strategy and the role organic plays in a full-funnel acquisition mix (preferred).
  • Fluency with Agentic AI tools as a performance and workflow accelerator (preferred).
  • Cultural connection to youth culture and streetwear fashion (preferred).
