Job Summary

Own and drive the enterprise executive visibility program, shaping strategy, partnerships, and convenings while advising senior leaders and coordinating cross-functional campaigns to elevate thought leadership and influence.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and outcomes for executive visibility, strategic partnerships, memberships, and owned convenings within Enterprise Communications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, Chiefs of Staff, and business leaders, providing strategic counsel on executive positioning, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and external influence.
  • Develop innovative platform strategies that connect business priorities and enterprise objectives with the audiences, forums, and conversations most critical to the firm\'s growth and reputation.
  • Identify and cultivate high-impact visibility opportunities across industry conferences, memberships, media platforms, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership engagements.
  • Build and manage relationships with external organizations, conference partners, membership groups, influencers, and other stakeholders that can advance the firm\'s strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the firm\'s portfolio of memberships, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and owned convenings, ensuring investments align to business goals and deliver measurable value.
  • Develop creative and scalable approaches to executive engagement, finding fresh ways to increase reach, influence, and relevance with key audiences.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Public Affairs, Social Media, Media Relations, Events, and business teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated execution across channels.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering innovation, collaboration, strategic thinking, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Manage team resources and budgets, ensuring effective investment decisions and strong returns across executive visibility, partnerships, memberships, and convening programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, executive communications, executive visibility, public relations, or related disciplines.
  • 6+ years of experience leading and developing teams within large, complex, or highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience providing strategic communications counsel and executive visibility support to senior leaders and executives.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise presence at major industry events, conferences, and external engagements, including managing large executive delegations and cross-functional stakeholder groups from strategy through execution with measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and instincts, particularly in high-profile, fast-moving, or ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% and support occasional work outside standard business hours as needed.

Preferred

  • Established relationships across influential industry, business, policy, and media networks, with deep knowledge of the external forums, conferences, memberships, and convenings that shape conversations relevant to Edward Jones and the financial services industry.
  • Agency and in-house experience with versatile communications toolkit to support range of executive spokespeople and myriad channels.
