Responsibilities

  • The Director, Ecommerce Marketing is a critical leadership role on the Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques team. This leader will own the roadmap and performance of our website and promotions.
  • The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading ecommerce channels for lifestyle consumer brands, driving conversion through consumer shopping experiences, growth marketing channels, product launches and promotions.
  • As a key leader on the team, this person will own and report on the website metrics and promotional effectiveness, providing full-funnel insights and executing testing strategies to achieve data-driven insights.
  • The Director will work closely with Development, Merchandising, Brands and other marketing team members to develop marketing strategies that resonate with our various customer segments.
  • Oversee UI/UX improvement prioritization and collaboration with the development team.
  • Conceive and execute customer-centric strategies that support key brand objectives and growth drivers.
  • Be customer-obsessed, understand our customer and be the voice of the customer cross-functionally.
  • Develop plans to maximize marketing budget in partnership with agencies and internal resources to drive business objectives.
  • Produce and communicate hind-sight performance optimizations.
  • Collaborate with analytics, site team and agency partners to develop source-of-truth reporting that triangulates marketing platform reporting and ecommerce reporting to ensure strategy and performance alignment.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in full-funnel ecommerce marketing demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Leadership experience overseeing website development roadmap
  • Experience with driving conversion optimization and performance marketing in an ecommerce company
  • Demonstrable experience across multiple marketing channels including full-funnel site optimization, email/SMS, paid, social, content.
  • Experience developing and executing against a marketing calendar, inclusive of gaining alignment and allocating resources.
  • Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud (preferred) and/or Google Analytics.
  • Experience setting and achieving marketing KPIs while managing to a marketing budget.

Preferred

  • Proven track record leading marketing for a home furnishings or gift industries preferred.
  • Experience building organizational competencies and best practices in a start-up or high-growth ecommerce business.
  • Team management experience.
