Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with government fiscal cycles, procurement timelines, and the broader Salesforce mission-driven growth goals.
  • Position Missionforce as the undisputed leader in secure, compliant, and transformative government cloud solutions.
  • Translate complex technical architectures (GovCloud, AI, Data Cloud) into high-impact narratives that clearly articulate value to both technical and non-technical agency stakeholders and mission owners.
  • Develop a content roadmap that positions Salesforce leadership in emerging topics such as cybersecurity resilience, national defense interoperability, and citizen service modernization.
  • Lead capture marketing, supporting long-term, high-value bidding processes. Work in lockstep with the sales organization to provide the content, competitive intelligence, and account-based marketing (ABM) support required to win large-scale government contracts.
  • Build a sophisticated demand generation engine tailored to the nuances of the public sector, focusing on authority, trust, and proven outcomes rather than transactional velocity.
  • Partner with Legal, Policy, and Security teams to ensure all marketing initiatives accurately reflect our security posture (FedRAMP, IL4/5/6, etc.).
  • Lead efforts to educate the market on our commitment to data sovereignty, security, and the ethics of AI in government.
  • Optimize marketing operations for scalability within a regulated environment.
  • Recruit, mentor, and empower a diverse team of marketers, fostering a culture of urgency, precision, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of marketing leadership experience targeting the public sector and/or national security. Deep understanding of the federal procurement process, government sales cycles, and the specific needs of civilian and national security agencies.
  • Track record of driving growth in highly regulated, slow-to-pivot environments while still maintaining a strong sense of urgency and agility.
  • Proven ability to work alongside legal and compliance teams to ensure messaging meets the stringent standards required by government contracts and security frameworks.
  • Data-driven approach to marketing, with the ability to measure the impact of long-cycle campaigns and adjust strategies based on shifts in federal priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
  • Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and mentoring high-performance teams, specifically in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience with high-level security clearances (or the ability to obtain/maintain them).
