Job Summary

  • Production leadership: End-to-end shoots, vendor hiring, on-site direction, and post-production oversight with field travel as needed.
  • Budget ownership: Track production budgets, reconcile invoices, and flag spend issues for leadership review.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own script-to-delivery for paid digital programs and write treatments that translate research and messaging into content for diverse voter audiences.
  • Lead video productions end-to-end, from pre-production planning and vendor hiring to on-site direction and post-production oversight, with willingness to travel for field shoots.
  • Track project budgets across productions, reconcile invoices, and flag spend issues to the Creative Director and Director of Project Management.
  • Bring cultural fluency and a sharp digital instinct to every brief, pushing creative executions beyond traditional ad formats.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a creative role, including at least one election cycle in political advertising, campaigns, or issue advocacy.
  • Exceptional script writing and narrative development for short-form video across diverse voter audiences.
  • Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to develop original ideas from a brief and build compelling treatments independently.
  • Hands-on video production experience, including hiring/directing vendors and crews and managing field logistics.
  • Deep cultural fluency and pulse on the digital landscape to translate trends into innovative political content.
  • Comfort tracking budgets and reconciling invoices, with ability to flag spend issues clearly.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with video editing, static ad formats, and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required.
