Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy cross-channel marketing journeys and campaigns in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and/or Adobe Campaign (Classic and Standard).
  • Build and maintain XDM schemas, datasets, identities, and audiences within Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Real-Time CDP.
  • Implement personalization, dynamic content, and decisioning logic using the AJO expression editor, Offer Decisioning, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Develop data integrations and event-driven flows via REST APIs, webhooks, streaming ingestion, and source/destination connectors.
  • Build responsive HTML/CSS email templates and reusable fragments that render reliably across major clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing operations on segmentation, A/B testing, consent management, and deliverability best practices.
  • Partner with data engineering to model customer data and ensure clean ingestion from sources like Salesforce, Snowflake, and Adobe Analytics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across journeys, data flows, and integrations; establish monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
  • Document technical solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to platform standards and governance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing marketing automation solutions with Adobe Campaign (Classic and/or Standard) and/or Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Proven track record delivering at least 2–3 end-to-end AJO or Adobe Campaign implementations.
  • Deep working knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform, including XDM schemas, datasets, identity stitching, segmentation, and Real-Time CDP.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and SQL; experience with JSSP required for Adobe Campaign Classic roles.
  • Solid HTML, CSS, and responsive email development skills, including personalization logic using the expression editor, Handlebars, or AMPscript-equivalent syntax.
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integrating customer data from systems such as Salesforce, Snowflake, and Adobe Analytics.
  • Familiarity with AJO decisioning, Offer Decisioning, and experimentation / A/B testing.
  • Working knowledge of deliverability best practices and compliance frameworks such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA, including consent management.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with marketers, architects, and data engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

  • Adobe certifications such as Adobe Campaign Developer/Architect, AJO Expert, or AEP Data Architect.
  • Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and/or Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency in Python or Node.js for building custom integrations.
  • Background in customer data strategy, audience segmentation, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming data ingestion.
