Job Summary

Own activation and retention work in the field by activating merchant accounts, analyzing performance data, educating clients on payments trends, and recommending efficiency actions to improve client outcomes.

  • Activation/Retention: activate merchants, engage clients, and drive data-driven performance improvements.
  • Data & Education: analyze results, share insights, and provide payments industry education to partners.
  • Field Execution: maintain a 4+ day field schedule and travel within the Chicago area to client sites.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Activate merchant accounts and assist with retention by engaging clients and presenting performance, providing data analysis, industry education, and action recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • In-field expectation of 4+ days per week, with remaining days reviewing customer lists and scheduling appointments.
  • Travel to business owners' locations in the greater Chicago area as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel.

Preferred

  • 2+ years of client management experience in payments.
  • Ability to train others on equipment features and functionality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
  • Proven customer service/relations skills.
