Job Summary

Own the end to end consumer marketing for a mix of fiction and non fiction titles, driving audience reach and campaign impact across imprints and brands.

  • Campaign & cross functional delivery: plan, execute and align with sales, editorial and licensing partners for integrated DTC campaigns.
  • Content and asset leadership: craft compelling copy and brief designers to produce proofs, social content, and ads.
  • Agency and influencer orchestration: manage media partnerships and creator activity to amplify titles on key platforms.

Job Description

Own end-to-end consumer marketing for a mix of fiction and non-fiction titles, shaping campaigns across brands and imprints with a focus on audience engagement and integrated execution.

  • Campaign management: Plan and implement audience-focused campaigns in collaboration with marketing, sales, editorial, and licensing partners.
  • Content creation and asset coordination: Write compelling copy and brief designers to deliver high-impact proofs, social content, and advertising materials.
  • Agency and influencer partnerships: Coordinate with media agencies and creators to amplify titles across key platforms.

Requirements: Industry knowledge, marketing foundation, clear communication, creativity, openness to new tools and technologies, proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, Canva and Biblio, commitment to inclusion and collaboration, curiosity and integrity.

  • Industry knowledge: A demonstrable passion for children’s books and the publishing industry, with a particular interest in MCB’s Fiction and Non-Fiction divisions, including graphic novels and our First Ink and Rocket Fox imprints.
  • Marketing foundation: Experience working in a busy direct to consumer marketing team, either within or outside of the publishing industry.
  • Clear and effective communication: Effective written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to share information reliably and professionally.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh, innovative ideas that drive engagement.
  • Innovation and efficiency: A forward-thinking approach to publishing with an openness to exploring new tools and technologies, such as AI, to improve workflows and create more efficient processes.
  • Software/tools: Experience working with systems and tools such as MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, Canva and Biblio.
