Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Uploading blogs to client websites: Taking completed articles and uploading them to WordPress and other website platforms, making sure headings, images, links and formatting are correct.
  • Building email newsletters: Using platforms such as Dotdigital and Mailchimp to turn approved content into professional, branded email newsletters for our clients.
  • Testing and checking content: Proofreading, checking links, reviewing formatting and making sure everything looks and works as it should before it goes live.
  • Managing client data: Working with Excel and email marketing platforms to upload, update and maintain mailing lists.
  • Preparing images: Selecting, resizing and formatting images so they're suitable for websites and email newsletters.
  • Keeping everything on track: Managing your workload, following our processes and making sure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicating with clients: Responding to queries, requesting approvals and keeping clients updated, primarily by email but occasionally by phone or video call.

Requirements

  • Has an exceptional eye for detail. You notice the little things, from typos and inconsistent spacing to incorrect links and formatting.
  • Is organised and reliable. You can manage multiple tasks, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Is comfortable using technology. You're confident learning new systems and working with different software platforms.
  • Enjoys structured, process-driven work. You understand that some tasks are repetitive, but you take just as much care with the hundredth newsletter as you do with the first.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally. You're comfortable working with colleagues and clients, asking questions when needed and keeping people updated.
  • Is open to feedback. You're happy to learn, improve and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
  • Works well as part of a team. You're happy to support colleagues, share knowledge and roll your sleeves up when things get busy.

Preferred

  • WordPress or other content management systems
  • Email marketing platforms such as Dotdigital, Mailchimp or HubSpot
  • Microsoft Excel and other office software
  • Image editing or resizing tools
  • Website content formatting.
