  • Create, upload and maintain products, categories and website content, ensuring information, pricing, imagery and links are accurate.
  • Implement product launches, campaigns, promotions and website updates accurately and on time.
  • Maintain website navigation, category structures, product sequencing, cross-selling and related products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product discovery, customer journeys, conversion and usability.
  • Monitor website functionality, carry out quality assurance and testing, and follow technical issues through to resolution.

Product information & stock

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day creation and maintenance of online product listings.
  • Work directly with Product Development and other relevant teams to obtain accurate product information, specifications, descriptions, imagery and stock information.
  • Ensure product information is complete and available ahead of agreed launch dates.
  • Write and maintain clear, accurate and commercially relevant product descriptions and onsite copy.
  • Ensure content is appropriate for both trade and consumer customers.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in product information, stock data and website presentation.

Platform development & optimisation

  • Support the Ecommerce Manager with the ongoing development and optimisation of ecommerce platforms, including post-replatform improvements.
  • Support user acceptance testing, new functionality and platform releases.
  • Work with external developers to progress agreed improvements.
  • Identify recurring manual tasks, technical problems and process inefficiencies that could be simplified or automated.
  • Help document procedures and improve the efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day ecommerce activity.

SEO & digital discoverability

  • Support the implementation of agreed SEO priorities across products, categories and website content.
  • Maintain relevant metadata, product titles, descriptions and internal links.
  • Assist with redirects, technical SEO actions and recommendations from external SEO specialists.
  • Monitor website health and identify opportunities to improve product and category discoverability.

Marketplaces & digital sales channels

  • Support approved marketplace activity, including Amazon and TikTok Shop.
  • Create, maintain and optimise marketplace product listings, ensuring content and imagery meet platform requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting listings, feeds, tracking and marketplace performance.
  • Work with Marketing to obtain suitable imagery and creative assets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketplace presentation, discoverability and conversion.
  • Monitor performance and highlight relevant opportunities or concerns to the Ecommerce Manager.

Analytics & reporting

  • Support accurate and consistent ecommerce reporting across agreed digital channels.
  • Monitor traffic, conversion, revenue, product performance, customer behaviour and key customer journeys.
  • Help identify meaningful trends, issues and opportunities from ecommerce data.
  • Prepare and circulate agreed performance reports within required timescales.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to provide relevant digital performance information to support campaigns and commercial decisions.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking is considered when new campaigns or functionality are introduced.

Marketing, CRM & automation

  • Work closely with Marketing to translate agreed campaigns into website and platform activity, including landing pages, products, categories and onsite content.
  • Support the technical elements of website-to-CRM integration and customer data capture.
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of agreed customer journeys, triggers and automated processes.
  • Maintain and optimise transactional emails, ensuring content, links and functionality remain accurate and on brand.
  • Support integrations between ecommerce, CRM, analytics and other digital systems.
  • Identify opportunities to replace repetitive manual processes with reliable automation.

Ways of working

  • Use Asana consistently to manage agreed tasks, projects and deadlines.
  • Maintain clear documentation of ecommerce processes and recurring activities.
  • Contribute to templates, automated workflows and more efficient ways of working.
  • Use approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot where appropriate, ensuring AI-supported work is reviewed for accuracy.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and keep the Ecommerce Manager informed of significant issues, risks or decisions requiring management input.

Skills & experience

The successful candidate should bring:

  • Hands-on experience working with ecommerce websites or digital platforms.
  • Experience creating and maintaining online product listings.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around product information, pricing and website accuracy.
  • Good written communication skills and the ability to produce clear product descriptions and onsite copy.

  • Confidence working with spreadsheets, product data and digital systems.
  • Good analytical capability and experience using website performance information.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Confidence working across departments to obtain information and resolve issues.
  • An interest in improving processes through automation and technology.

Experience with ecommerce platform development, Google Analytics, product feeds, Amazon, TikTok Shop, CRM integrations or transactional emails would be advantageous.

Experience within giftware, homeware, retail, wholesale or another product-led ecommerce business would be particularly useful.

A good level of technical understanding is a huge plus, but training and support on all systems will of course be provided.
